It is best if you have someone come to your house and stay with your cats, but it is asking a lot to have someone disrupt their lives to take care of your cats. You could hire someone to come and feed them, but having some stranger wandering through your house while you are gone is a little un-nerving, and other than that 10 minutes a day when they are there, there won't be anyone around in case kitty gets hurt or the house starts on fire.

There are "agents" who set your cat up at someone elses house - usually retired people - but are they taking good care of your cat or are they tossing kitty down the basement till the agent comes back to pick him up again? What happens if the grandkids all show up. Will they be careful not to let your cat out the door? Are the children old enough not to injure or frighten your cat? They may be great people, or maybe not.

You could take kitty to one of the regular boarding places, but that means your cat is stuck in a tiny metal cage, surrounded by noise, barking dogs, and all sorts of things that are very frightening for a cat.
